Ben’s Story

As an example of how fundraising activities can truly help Cats Paws Sanctuary, here’s a story of a young man, devoted to animal welfare, who created his own challenge to raise money.

In August 2016 a very sweet young man at only 11 years of age, decided to do a fundraiser to raise £50 for our charity. On 18th August 2016, Ben completed his walk and reached the summit of Mount Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales. Smashing his target of £50, he managed to raise a fantastic £143 which enabled Cats Paws Sanctuary to buy five cat scratch activity centres to replace some of our old broken ones.

Not content with this amazing achievement, in July 2018 at 13 years of age, Ben decided to climb Ben Nevis in Scotland with the intention of doubling the amount of money he raised for us last time in Wales. On 5th August 2018 he successfully completed his climb and raised a fantastic £385!

Ben loves all animals, is very passionate about charity work, and we are so grateful to him for his fundraising activities which helped us look after our resident moggies. Every penny truly helps.
